Hong Kong

I am in transit in Hong Kong for six hours. Black tea is called English tea here, and the electrical plugs are the same as those used in England. The temperature is high; the humidity is high.

I have had a shower, a massage, and have eaten a plate of miniature tomatoes with a pair of chopsticks, which is all good as I did not go to bed until seventeen minutes past one this morning and then had to get up three hours later to go to the airport and do some last minute vacuuming -- Nick would be most displeased if, when we get back to Sydney, he finds my hair strewn all over the bathroom floor -- and so it was that I did not have time to shower before going to the airport this morning, and the massage, well that was part of the shower package, and quite frankly, after nine, deep-vein-thrombosis-inducing hours on the flight from Sydney to Hong Kong, I needed it. The tomatoes I ate in a bid to counter balance the evil of all the junk that I consumed on the flight from Sydney.

In Germany, I meet Scottish Dawn, she flies in a few hours after me, and we will stage our reunion jet-lagged in the nail salons of Frankfurt.
